Accident
On February 14, 2013, at approximately 1310 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Piper PA-36-300 aircraft, Ecuadorian registration HC-BJM, sustained substantial damage after impacting the ground during an aerial application flight. The aircraft was operated by CIA FAP S.A. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, sustained fatal injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The flight was conducted under Ecuadorian flight regulations.
