What happened
On February 14, 2013, at approximately 1310 UTC, a Piper PA-3ability-300 with registration HC-BJM crashed in Quevedo, Ecuador. The aircraft, operated by CIA FAP S.A., was performing an aerial application flight under visual meteorological conditions in accordance with Ecuadorian flight regulations.
During the flight, the aircraft impacted the ground, resulting in substantial damage to the airframe. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained 1 fatal injury.
