What happened
On February 27, 2013, at approximately 1840 UTC, a Cirrus Design Corporation SR-22, registered as PR-SLS, crashed in the Tiros Municipality of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The aircraft had departed from a farm field and was en route to Poços de Caldas Airport (SBPC).
Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft impacted the ground and was destroyed by a post-impact fire. The accident resulted in 1 fatality and 1 serious injury. Witness reports indicated that a storm was present in the vicinity of the farm field during the time of the accident.
