Accident Sequence
On February 27, 2013, at approximately 1840 coordinated universal time (UTC), the airplane impacted the ground shortly after takeoff from a farm field in the Tiros Municipality, in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. According to witness reports, a storm was in the vicinity of the farm field at the time of the accident. The airplane was destroyed by a postimpact fire.
Injuries and Damage
The Brazilian pilot sustained fatal injuries, and the passenger was seriously injured. The aircraft was consumed by fire.

The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Aeronautical Accident Prevention and Investigation Center (CENIPA) of Brazil. No probable cause has been stated in the released information.
