Incident Overview
On March 27, 2013, an incident occurred involving a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The Spanish Civil Aviation Accidents and Incidents Investigation Commission (CIAIAC) was notified and has taken charge of the investigation.
Investigation
The CIAIAC officially notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the incident. In accordance with ICAO Annex 13 provisions, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CIAIAC investigation. The United States, as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane, participates in the investigation through this representative.
All investigative information will be released by the CIAIAC. No further details about the nature of the incident, location, or injuries have been disclosed by either agency at this time.
