Event Description
During the takeoff roll, when the airplane reached rotation speed, the pilot applied back pressure to the flight controls. As the airplane climbed to an altitude approximately 50 feet above the ground, the stall warning horn activated. The pilot attempted to maintain airspeed and subsequently executed a forced landing to a field straight ahead.
Landing and Damage
The airplane touched down in the field, continued through a small wire fence, struck an embankment, and came to rest near a highway. The accident resulted in substantial damage to the wings and fuselage.
Pilot Experience
The pilot reported a total of 6.1 hours of flight experience in the specific airplane make and model, and 71.4 hours in all aircraft. The pilot stated that there were no mechanical malfunctions or failures of the engine or airframe that would have precluded normal operation.
