Accident Details
On July 29, 2013, at approximately 0710 Beijing time, a Robinson R22 helicopter, registration B-7036, crashed in Guangdong Province, China. The helicopter was being operated as an instructional flight by Guangzhou Suilian Helicopter Aviation. The accident resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft and fatal injuries to both pilots on board.
Investigation
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is conducting the investigation into the accident. In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative, as the United States is the state of manufacture for the helicopter and its engine.
