Accident
On August 14, 2013, UPS Airlines Flight 1354, a scheduled cargo flight from Louisville, Kentucky, to Birmingham, Alabama, crashed and burst into flames short of the runway while on approach to Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport. The aircraft was an Airbus A300. Both pilots, who were the only people on board, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
