What happened
On August 30, 2013, at 15:55 UTC, a Bell 206B helicopter, registered as PT-HUE, performed a forced landing in Matões do Norte, Maranhão, Brazil. The flight, operated by Delta Aero Taxi Ltda, had departed from Flamboyant Heliport (SJHR) approximately 35 minutes prior to the event. The aircraft was operating under Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) and in accordance with Brazilian flight regulations.
The landing followed a loss of engine power, which caused substantial damage to the aircraft. There were no injuries to the pilot or the passenger.
