What happened
On September 13, 2013, at approximately 0750 UTC, a Robinson R4 4 II, registration SP-WNP, crashed into terrain near Wygonin, Poland. The flight had departed from Borcz, Poland, and was en route to Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport (BZG) in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Following the impact with the terrain, a fire occurred. The accident resulted in 3 fatal injuries, claiming the lives of the pilot and two passengers. The helicopter was destroyed in the crash. At the time of the accident, the aircraft was operating in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) with a visibility of 2 statute miles.
