Incident Notification
On September 19, 2013, an incident involving a Boeing 757-223 airplane occurred. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Colombia notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the event.
NTSB Involvement
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CAA of Colombia's investigation. The NTSB acts as the State of Operator and State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane.
Investigation Authority
All investigative information will be released by the CAA of Colombia, which is leading the investigation.
