Accident Overview
On October 5, 2013, at 0900 local time, an amateur-built aircraft, a KR-2 registered as VH-CTE, collided with terrain shortly after takeoff from a private airstrip near Tumut, New South Wales. The flight was operated by the pilot under the pertinent civil regulations of the Government of Australia.
Occupant and Damage
The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft was destroyed in the accident.
