What happened
On November 16, 2013, at approximately 10:30 CST, a Bell 4 07 helicopter, registration HR-AXO, was performing a flight from Toncontin International Airport (MHTG) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to Juticalpa, Honduras. During the flight, the aircraft experienced a hard landing near Rio Ablajo, Honduras.
At the time of the accident, visual meteorological conditions were in effect. The impact resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft, but there were no injuries to the pilot or the six passengers on board.
