What happened
On December 13, 2013, a Piper PA 28R-200 was performing 180-degree, power-off landing practice near Bowling Green, Ohio. During a climb-out at full power, approximately 100 feet above the ground, a large bird crossed the aircraft's path from north to south. The bird struck the leading edge of the left wing of N66CS.
Following the collision, the pilot successfully landed the aircraft without further incident. There were no injuries resulting from the event.
