Accident Details
On December 26, 2013, at approximately 2148 UTC, a Cessna 172A aircraft, Brazilian registration PT-CNL, was destroyed during touch and go landing operations in the Teresina Municipality, State of Piauí, Brazil. The airplane impacted the ground about 130 meters to the left of the runway shortly after the second takeoff from Teresina International Airport (SBTE). Following the impact, the aircraft exploded.

The aircraft, a Cessna 172A, was conducting local touch and go landings at Teresina International Airport. The flight had originated from the same airport. On board were the pilot, a copilot, and two passengers; all four occupants incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident.
