Accident Sequence
According to the pilot, the accident occurred during a fast taxi after completing four landings. While taxiing, the pilot applied both toe brakes. The airplane then began a gradual turn to the right. The pilot attempted to correct the right turn by applying left rudder control, followed by left brake input. However, neither action was able to correct the tightening right-hand turn. As the airplane reached the edge of the runway, it nosed down and tilted to the left, resulting in substantial damage to the left wing.
Pilot Statements
The pilot reported that the right brake was "dragging" throughout the accident sequence. He noted that despite his corrective inputs, the airplane continued to turn right and could not be steered away from the runway edge.
Damage
The left wing sustained substantial damage during the event. No other damage was reported.
