Incident Overview
On January 6, 2014, at approximately 1508 local time, a Gippsland GA-8 Airvan single-engine aircraft, registration F-ORPH, was destroyed during a forced landing at Cayenne – Félix Eboué Airport (SOCA) in Cayenne, French Guiana. The forced landing followed a total loss of engine power.
Injuries
The pilot sustained minor injuries, while the passenger was seriously injured.
Aircraft Damage
The aircraft was destroyed.

The investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the government of France, conducted by the Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation civile (BEA).
