What happened
On January 19, 2014, at approximately 1500 UTC, a Cessna 208B, registration 8R-GHS, crashed shortly after departing Olive Creek Airport (SYOC) in Olive Creek, Guyana. The aircraft, operated by Trans Guyana Airways, was performing a cargo flight destined for Imbaimadai Airport (SYIB).
Following the impact with wooded terrain, the aircraft was destroyed. The flight involved a pilot and a cargo loader, both of whom sustained 2 fatal injuries.
