Accident Overview
On March 27, 2014, at 0900 universal coordinated time, a Robinson R22 Beta helicopter, registration VH-HRX, collided with terrain near Borroloola, Australia. The aircraft was engaged in an aerial mustering flight and was operated by the pilot under the pertinent civil regulations of the Government of Australia.
Injuries and Damage
As a result of the collision, the pilot sustained serious injuries. The helicopter itself was substantially damaged.
