What happened
On June 22, 2014, a Christen Industries A 1, registration N2914Q, was performing low-level maneuvers near Moses Lake, Washington. During the flight, the aircraft struck a bird, which caused substantial damage to the left wing and the aileron. Despite the damage, the pilot was able to land the aircraft without further incident. There were no injuries resulting from the event.
At the time of the incident, the weather conditions were Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) with visibility of 10 statute miles.
