Accident Overview
On August 5, 2014, at 0400 universal coordinated time, a Piper PA 32S-300, registration ZK-DOJ, collided with remote terrain under unknown circumstances near the Poolburn Reservoir, Queenstown, New Zealand. The airplane was registered to Glenorchy Air Services & Tourist Company Limited and operated under the pertinent civil regulations of the Government of New Zealand.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot was fatally injured and the two passengers were seriously injured. The airplane was substantially damaged.
