On August 30, 2014, at approximately 1625 universal coordinated time, a Cessna 177B aircraft with Brazilian registration PT-DLA was destroyed when it struck the ground in a residential area shortly after departing from Bacacheri Airport (SBBI) in Curitiba, Brazil. The flight was a personal trip destined for the 14 Bis Airport (SSOK) in Londrina, Brazil, and was conducted under Brazilian flight regulations.

Injuries and Damage

The pilot and two passengers sustained fatal injuries. One additional passenger suffered serious injuries. The aircraft was completely destroyed upon impact.
