Accident Details
On September 11, 2014, at approximately 1600 coordinated universal time, a Diamond Aircraft Industries Inc. DA 40 airplane, registration N39SE, was substantially damaged when it impacted terrain near Kulusuk, Greenland. The flight departed from Iceland and was destined for Kulusuk Airport. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained fatal injuries.
