What happened
On August 28, 2014, at approximately 2040 UTC, a Robinson R22 bearing registration HK-4287 was conducting an instructional flight originating from Medellin, Colombia (SKMD). While operating near Farm Los Pedregales in Amaga, Colombia, the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power. Following the power loss, the helicopter impacted the terrain and rolled over, resulting in substantial damage to the aircraft. The two pilots on board were not injured.
