Accident
On December 2, 2014, at approximately 0250 UTC, an Ayres Trush S2R-T34, registration PK-ELR, ditched in the sea under unknown circumstances. Debris including a tail wheel tire, elevator, both main landing gears, and some personal equipment was recovered approximately one mile from the coastline of Kema Village in Manado, Indonesia.
Aircraft and Operator
The aircraft was operated by PT. Elang Nunsantara Air in accordance with Indonesian civil aviation regulations. The airplane was destroyed in the accident. The pilot and engineer on board are presumed fatally injured.
Investigation
The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Indonesia, conducted by the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC). No probable cause has been determined as the circumstances surrounding the ditching remain unknown. Further information may be obtained from the NTSC.
