What happened

On December 2, 2014, at approximately 0250 UTC, an Ayres Thrush S2R-T34, registration PK-ELR, ditched into the sea near Manado, Indonesia. The aircraft was being operated by PT. Elang Nunsantara Air in accordance with Indonesian civil regulations.

Following the event, debris including a tail wheel tire, the elevator, both main landing gears, and various pieces of personal equipment were recovered approximately 1 mile from the coastline of Kema Village. The aircraft was destroyed during the accident. The pilot and the engineer are presumed fatally injured.
