Incident Notification
The Republic of South Korea Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board (ARAIB) has notified the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 747. The incident occurred on January 13, 2015.
International Cooperation
In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, which governs international aviation accident investigations, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative. This representative will assist the ARAIB in its investigation, serving as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane.
Investigation Lead
The ARAIB is the lead investigative authority for this incident. All investigative information will be released by the ARAIB. The NTSB's role is supportive, providing technical expertise as the state of design and manufacture.
