What happened
On February 19, 2015, at approximately 1340 UTC, a Cessna 182P, registered as PT-KBV, experienced an in-flight breakup near the Bueno Brandao Municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The aircraft was operating a personal flight from Parati (SDTK) in Rio de Janeiro to Dr. Leite Lopes-Ribeirão Preto (SBRP) in São Paulo. Following the structural failure in flight, the aircraft impacted the terrain. The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries, involving the pilot, the copilot, and two passengers.
