Incident Overview
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee of Thailand has notified the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 777-306ER that occurred on March 15, 2015. The notification was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which governs international cooperation in aircraft accident and incident investigations.
U.S. Involvement
In response, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee of Thailand's investigation. The appointment is in the capacity of the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane, as the Boeing 777-306ER is designed and manufactured in the United States.
Investigation Authority
All investigative information will be released by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee of Thailand. The committee is leading the investigation in accordance with international protocols.
