What happened
On May 5, 2015, a Thrush S2R-T34, registration HC-CBY, crashed near Puebloviejo, Ecuador. The aircraft was operated by Aerovic C.A. and was performing a flight from Pista Estrella, Ecuador, to Pista Vinces, Ecuador.
Preliminary information from Ecuadorian authorities indicated that the airplane experienced a loss of control in-flight before impacting the terrain. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained 1 fatal injury. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the impact. Information regarding the flight plan and meteorological conditions at the time of the accident remains unknown.
