Accident Details
On May 21, 2015, at approximately 1245 UTC, a Robin DR400-140B airplane, registered as F-GBUP, impacted into a cultivated field near the Arras-Roclincourt Airport (LFQD) in Arras, France. The aircraft was performing a touch-and-go maneuver at the airport when the engine lost power. The pilots attempted a U-turn to return to the airport, but the airplane departed controlled flight and struck a cultivated corn field. The airplane was destroyed in a post-impact fire.
Occupants and Injuries
One pilot and one passenger were killed. Another pilot sustained serious injuries.
