What happened
On June 7, 2015, at 14:30 UTC, a Van's Aircraft RV-7A, registered 9A-DVM, crashed near Zagreb, Croatia. The flight had departed from Zagreb International Airport (LDZE).
At the time of the accident, the weather was characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 10 statute miles and winds from 060 degrees at 7 knots. The aircraft impacted the terrain, resulting in 2 fatal injuries for the pilot and one passenger.
The investigation
Investigators from the Croatian Air, Maritime, and Railway Traffic Accident Investigation Agency reported that the aircraft struck the ground with a high angle of attack.
