What happened
On June 30, 2015, a Cessna 180, registration N3888C, was performing a landing in Cahokia, Illinois. During the landing roll, the aircraft veered to the right and entered a ground loop. The incident resulted in no injuries to the pilot.
The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the following components:
- Left wing
- Left aileron
- Left horizontal stabilizer
- Left elevator
Weather conditions at the time were Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 10 statute miles and winds from 250 degrees at 5 knots.
