What happened
On July 22, 2015, at 13:25 local time, a Bell 407 helicopter, registration P2-HCB, was performing maneuvers away from a drilling and exploration camp located near Tifalmin Village, Papua New Guinea. During these maneuvers, the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power.
Following the loss of power, the helicopter performed a hard landing, resulting in substantial damage to the aircraft. The pilot, who was the only person on board, sustained 1 minor injury and was otherwise uninjured.
