Accident Overview
A pilot flying a tailwheel-equipped airplane experienced a loss of directional control during landing, resulting in a runway excursion and the aircraft coming to rest inverted. The incident occurred when the airplane touched down on runway 21.
Incident Details
The pilot reported that during touchdown, a gust of wind pushed the airplane to the right of the runway centerline. Despite corrective control inputs, the airplane continued to veer right and departed the runway surface. The right main landing gear wheel dug into the dirt alongside the runway, causing the airplane to flip inverted.

According to a weather station at the airport, wind conditions around the time of the accident were from 250 degrees at 7 knots. The pilot was landing on runway 21, which aligns roughly with the wind direction.
