What happened
On August 14, 2015, at approximately 0830 local time, a Robinson R44 Raven II, registration ZPHAH, crashed in Limpio, Paraguay. The aircraft, operated by the Paraguayan National Police, was flying from Helipuerto Base Alto Parana, Ciudad del Este, toward Helipuerto Base Aeronaval, Asuncion.
During the flight, the helicopter impacted terrain approximately 6 nautical miles northeast of Asuncion. At the time of the accident, the aircraft was operating under instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). The impact resulted in 1 fatality and 2 serious injuries.
