What happened
On September 9, 2015, at approximately 0015 UTC, a Robinson R-44, registration C-GZFX, was discovered in a heavily wooded area roughly 17 nautical miles south of Folelyet, Ontario.
The aircraft, owned and operated by Apex Helicopters Inc., had departed from a camp on Horwood Lake, Ontario, on September 8, 2015, at approximately 0100. The flight was intended to proceed to a forestry camp located near Rollo Lake, Ontario.
The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries, involving the pilot and one passenger.
