What happened
On September 13, 2015, at 0600 local time, a Bell 407 GX, registration B-7702, crashed near Chong Qing, P. R. China. The aircraft, which was operated by the Chong Qing General Aviation Corporation, was performing an aerial photo operation at the time of the accident. The helicopter collided with terrain, resulting in 4 fatal injuries to the two crew members and two passengers on board. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
The investigation
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) conducted the investigation. Because the engines were manufactured in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to participate in the investigation under ICAO Annex 13.
