What happened
On September 26, 2015, at 1138 UTC, a mid-air collision occurred over Sandstedt, Germany, involving two aircraft. The first aircraft, a Piper PA-28 with registration D-EBVM, collided with a Reims F172, registration D-EGJA.
The collision resulted in 4 fatal injuries. The pilot of the D-EBVM was killed in the accident. Additionally, the pilot and two passengers aboard the Reims F172 also sustained fatal injuries. Both aircraft were destroyed following the impact.
