What happened

On October 18, 2015, at 2117 UTC, a Beechcraft B60, registration HK3917G, departed Eldorado Airport (SKBO) for a flight to Guaymaral Airport (SKGY). The aircraft was operated by Sky Hub Aviation.

Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft leveled off at approximately 300 feet above ground level and proceeded straight. Approximately one mile past the runway departure end, the airplane performed a sharp left turn and descended, striking a three-story building in Barrio El Lujan.

The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries among the pilot and three passengers, as well as 6 fatalities among occupants of the building. Additionally, 8 people in the building sustained serious injuries.

At the time of the accident, weather conditions were within visual meteorological limits (VMC) with winds from 130 degrees at 07 knots.
