What happened
On November 29, 2015, at 13:50 UTC, a Cessna Citation 560XL, registration SE-RHJ, was performing a descent into Farnborough Airport in Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom. During the descent, the aircraft experienced an in-flight cowling departure. The aircraft subsequently landed without further incident. There were no injuries to the two crewmembers on board.
The investigation
A post-flight examination of the aircraft revealed damage to the left elevator and the leading edges of the vertical stabilizer.
