Accident Notification
The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving an Eclipse Aviation 500 airplane. The accident occurred on December 7, 2015. Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB, as the State of Manufacture and Design of the airplane and engine, appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the SACAA investigation. This representative will participate in the investigation as per international protocols. All investigative information will be released by the SACAA. No further details regarding the circumstances of the accident have been provided by the SACAA at this time.
