What happened
On December 12, 2015, at approximately 1100 UTC, a Bell 206 helicopter, bearing registration LV-VFD, was performing a low altitude cruise flight over a reservoir in the mountains near Potrerillos, Argentina. During the flight, the aircraft struck the surface of the water and sank to a depth of approximately 200 feet. The accident occurred at an elevation of about 6,000 feet above sea level. The crash resulted in 2 fatal injuries for the pilot and the passenger.
