On December 16, 2015, an accident occurred involving a Cessna 182, registration ZS-SLS, in Plettenberg, Western Cape Province, South Africa.
As the State of Manufacture and Design for both the aircraft and the engine, the United States appointed an Accredited Representative to support the investigation being conducted by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) under ICAO Annex 13 provisions. There were no fatalities or injuries reported in relation to this event.
