On January 06, 2016, an incident occurred involving a Swearingen SA226, registration EC-HJC, in Saarbrucken, Germany. The German investigation authority, the Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung (BFU), notified the NTSB of the event.
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the BFU investigation in its capacity as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the aircraft.
