The National Bureau of Air Accident Investigation (NBAAI) of Ukraine has notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Boeing 737 airplane that occurred on January 16, 2016. In response, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the NBAAI's investigation.

International Cooperation

The investigation is being conducted under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which outlines the responsibilities of states in aircraft accident investigations. As the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane, the United States is participating through the NTSB's Accredited Representative.
