What happened
On March 19, 2016, at approximately 1853 UTC, an experimental amateur-built Comp Air CA9, registered PR-ZRA, crashed in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The aircraft had departed from Sao Paulo (SBMT) and was en route to Rio De Janeiro (SBRJ).
Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft collided with a building, which resulted in the destruction of the aircraft and a post-crash fire. The accident resulted in 7 fatal injuries, involving the pilot and six passengers.
