Accident Overview
On March 19, 2016, at approximately 1853 coordinated universal time, an experimental amateur-built Comp Air CA9, Brazilian registration PR-ZRA, was destroyed by impact and fire following a collision with a building shortly after takeoff in São Paulo, Brazil. A post-crash fire ensued.
Injuries and Damage
The Brazilian certificated pilot and six passengers sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft was destroyed.

The flight departed from São Paulo, Brazil (SBMT) and was destined for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (SBRJ).
