Incident Notification
The Italian Agenzia Nazionale per la Sicurezza del Volo (ANSV) has notified the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving an Airbus A320-216. The incident occurred on March 27, 2016. The ANSV is the lead investigating authority for this occurrence.
International Investigation Cooperation
In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the ANSV investigation. This appointment is made because the NTSB is the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane engines. The U.S. Accredited Representative will provide technical assistance regarding the engine design and manufacturing aspects of the investigation.
Information Release
All investigative information, including updates and findings, will be released by the ANSV. The NTSB will not independently publish information about this incident. The ANSV is responsible for the overall conduct of the investigation.
