NTSB Assists American Samoa in 2016 Boeing 737 Accident Investigation

Notification and Appointment of Representative The government of American Samoa has notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Boeing 737 airplane that occurred on April 23, 2016. In response to this notification, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the government of American Samoa's investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13. ## Release of Investigative Information All investigative information related to the accident will be released by the government of American Samoa. The NTSB's role is limited to providing assistance through the appointed representative, in accordance with the international standards outlined in ICAO Annex 13.
