Incident Overview
A pilot of a tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that during the landing roll, the airplane veered sharply to the left. The left wing subsequently impacted the runway surface. The aircraft continued its leftward turn, departing the runway onto loose soil, where it nosed over.
Damage Assessment
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the right lift struts of the airplane. No other damage was explicitly reported.

According to the pilot, there were no preimpact mechanical failures or malfunctions with either the airframe or the engine that would have precluded normal operation. The pilot did not attribute the veer to any specific cause.
