Accident Details
On June 16, 2016, at approximately 1900 Coordinated Universal Time, a Piper PA28R-180 aircraft, registered as C-FYGG, was involved in an accident near Green Lake, British Columbia, Canada. The aircraft struck trees and subsequently impacted terrain while attempting a go-around.
Injuries and Investigation
The pilot of the aircraft sustained serious injuries. The passenger sustained fatal injuries. The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) of Canada is conducting an investigation into the accident. As the state of manufacture of the airplane, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has designated a U.S. accredited representative to assist the TSB in its investigation.
