Accident Details
During an approach to a 2,000-foot private grass airstrip, the pilot reported that he flew the approach "a little high and fast" and performed a slip maneuver. The pilot stated that the airplane touched down approximately midfield. After touchdown, he applied brakes, but the airplane was unable to stop before overrunning the runway and colliding with trees.
