What happened
On July 15, 2016, at approximately 0520 UTC, a De Havilland DHC-2 Mk I floatplane, registration C-GWDW, struck terrain approximately 15 nm east south east of Telegraph Creek, British Columbia. The aircraft, operated by Tsay Keena Aviation Ltd, was performing a visual flight rules flight from the Telegraph Creek Water Aerodrome to Mowdade Lake.
The impact resulted in the destruction of the aircraft. The pilot sustained 1 fatal injury.
